Back Again.. sorry for the extreme delay on things eg: not posting on the blog
umm… nothing really interesting happening, but im off to ireland in the morning and cant wait.
ive been obsessed by a song by a guy called Aphex Twin, the song in question being ‘Come To Daddy’. The song itself is averagley ok, but what really takes it over the edge is the video [being at the bottom of this post]… The video was directed by Chris Cunningham who made some other Aphex Twin videos, and another band called ‘The Horrers’ [whom i dispise greatly]… It is quite disturbing and interesting at the same time…. well watch it find out, and make your own opinion..
Im going to see Muse @ Wembley Stadium on the 16th of june… and 3 weeks later im going back to Wembley Stadium to see none other than Metallica on the 8th of july….can’t wait…..

lets make one thing clear, tiff (my co-associate) seems to think that my one clear prediction is that Hinder (whom i spoke of in another blog) are THE band of 2007.
WRONG… in fact very wrong….
lets start with the older, more established bands and their releases..
as tiff already mentioned Guns ‘N’ Roses are, hopefully, releasing their latest album (after 14 years) : Chinese Democracy…maybe just maybe being released on March 6th …
Metallica are hopefully going to be releasing their 9th studio album around September with Robert Trujilio having his first writing credits on songs since he joined the band in 2001….
AC/DC are also going to releasing a studio album in the later part of the year, probably around October/November time….
i also strongly bet in a Nirvana rare collection coming out after Courtney Love sold 25% of nirvana’s unreleased catalogue to and music investor….
Another strong bet is a release of another Iron Maiden live album….. it wont be better than ‘Rock in Rio’ or ‘Live After Death’ but it might contain a whole live version of the album ‘A Matter Of Life and Death’ which ought to be good….
as Ive already mentioned Hinder’s much anticipated UK release of ‘Extreme Behavior’ on April 2nd…
other albums being released:
April 12th : Nine Inch Nails – Year Zero
May 7th : Travis – The Boy With No Name
July 7th : Smashing Pumpkins – Zeltgeist
Other releases include : Aerosmith, Coldplay, Jose Gonzalez, Marilyn Manson, The Prodigy, Queens Of The Stone Age, Radiohead, The Pixies, R.E.M., Sigur Ros, Stereophonics, and surprisingly Blur..
So as, again, tiff said 2007 promises to be a fulfilled year in terms of Music….

Good day, you’ve seen Chez’s music prediction for 2007
However as I’m a diiferent sort of music listener so I predict big (despite what you may think) breaks for the likes of Gothic Indie band ‘The Horrors’ not to everyones taste but are original and interesting and I did think the reaction of the ‘Klaxons’ would be greater but so far the one single ‘Golden Skans’ (very good single) is the only one that has any real status. Also look out for hardcore band ‘Enter Shikari’ who are ever growing popular. Existing bands to look out for include next week with second albums from the respected ‘Bloc Party’ and ‘Kaiser Chiefs’, as well as the likes of Radiohead, Offspring, Artic Monkeys and maybe even Franz Ferdinand possibly releasing albums, 2007 is already full of promise.
Oh yeah and some band called Guns ‘n’ Roses might be releasing another album ( I think my views are clear!)

Hey there, this is Tiff ;’0
Well firstly you can you know that I go to Richard Huish, big music fan love bands like franz, kasabian and radiohead, as well as many others. I’m politically motivated, quite up to do date with current affairs and love my footy, paticuarly my beloved Man Utd and Nottingham Forest( so watch out for bias in sport reports!)
Quite an open guy but quite approachable and I think that’s all….So enjoy!

First of all UKYP means UK Youth Parliament, Not UKIP [UK Independence Party]…..
well i went to a meeting with my dear friend tiffbooth, to do with UKYP… He was [until tonight] the Head of the Youth Parliament in the area of Taunton Deane and West Somerset….
Whilst listening to a youth parliament member, they enlightened me to the fact that because of my background and experiences i could make a difference to the youth community in the taunton deane area…
i know that there is next to nothing in the way of activities for youths in taunton deane and its surrounding area…. and seeing them, first hand, the effects this has on people….
immediately after the meeting had finished… i said to tiff, “bring it on”, i can commit myself to one sunday a month and make a difference and make young people have a say……
now because of my age i can only run for MYP once, but well, if the challenge is there, bring it on…..
i will, indefinatley keep you posted on the events to come….

Another amazing weekend has occured in the premiership this weekend (24/25 feb) Firstly, well what can I say about Man United, a true sign of champions who can win a match that for eighty eight minutes were out played by Fulhum but still won thanks to a fabulous goal by Ronaldo, making it 16 goals for the season. Mcbride had put Fulham in the lead but Giggs had equalised in the first half. While another pathetic dsiplay by the now almost doomed West Ham saw them loose 4- 0 against Alan Padew’s Charlton, while Wigan beat newcastle 1-0, to keep up a six point gap. In the rest of the premiership, Liverpool beat Sheffield United 4-0 Stevie Gerrard twice winning penalties and twice converted by Fowler, the first penalty was extremely dodgey and it was deja vu for Neil Warnock, as Stevie gerrard also was given a dubious penalty when they went to Brammel Lane. Other results included Boro beating Reading 2-1, Everton beat Watford 3-0 away, Blackburn beat portsmouth 3-0, which included Steve Warnock’s first goal and Spurs only just beat Bolton 4-1 ;) thought Robbie Keane who scored twice was sent for a deliberate handball in the penalty area.

This Weekend saw an interesting change of events.
Another to be honest crap result for last seasons FA cup runner up team West Ham, their season just gets worse as the weeks go on and pressure is mounting on Curbishley, after statistics proved that Les Reed had a better record at Charlton than Curbs has at West Ham. However it was also a bad day for former Hammers boss Alan Pardew who’s team lost narrowly to the champions Chelsea thanks to another brilliant goal by Frank Lampard who reaches 10 for the goal tally this league season.
Wigan got some breathing space between themselves and the relegation battle after a 1-0 win over out of form Portsmouth thanks to Lee McCulloch who three weeks ago put in a transfer request after having an approach by Rangers rejected by the club.
Pressure is also on Stuart Pearce, as it seems his team is slipping down the table and at the same time has now decided to devote some of this time to England youth rather than the club’s table position. This all comes after a dismal against Reading, Leroy Lita with two brilliant goals late on in the match, with Pearce having ironically to decide whether to put Lita in the starting line up for tonight’s under 21 game against Spain.
Speaking of Reading, they could be strong contenders for Europe this season.
In the title race and the major game of the weekend, Man Utd destroyed Tottenham with a 4-0 win and several controversial penalty decision’s, one of which broke the deadlock, Ronaldo with his 15th goal of the season, other goals coming from Vidic, Scholes and Giggs.
The other major game this weekend was the mersyside derby at Anfield which ended in 0-0 draw which frustrated Rafa Benitez, who afterwards commented that Everton were ” a small team”. However he claims this was taken out of context.
In another games Boro held the in form Arsenal to a 1-1 draw the riverside, Yakubu’s penalty put the Boro in front with Senderos being sent off in the process, however another brilliant breakaway led to the captain Thierry Henry scoring the equaliser.
All Scores:
Saturday, 03 February 2007
Barclays Premiership:
Aston Villa 1-0 West Ham
Blackburn 2-1 Sheff Utd
Charlton 0-1 Chelsea
Fulham 2-1 Newcastle
Liverpool 0-0 Everton
Man City 0-2 Reading
Middlesbrough 1-1 Arsenal
Watford 0-1 Bolton
Wigan 1-0 Portsmouth

Having read the latest Kerrang! magazine, ive learnt that the biggest rock band in america at the moment is a band called Hinder…
i recently downloaded off of iTunes a few of their songs, expecting some hyped up dirge (like the Arctic Monkeys), but it is good stuff…. genuinely it is….
‘Get Stoned’ is a really good track, and so is ‘Lips Of An Angel’
but the only concern is that i hope they don’t, really don’t, go down the same road as Nickelback …. you know create a fantastic album, ‘Silver Side Up’, and disappear into an unknown……
If your American and reading this, dont listen to me im British and live in Britain, but if you live in the UK, keep an eye out for Hinder in the next few months…. blink and you will miss a good oppurtunity to know the band before everyone else does…..
Their new album ‘Extreme Behavior’ is out April 2nd …… and the single ‘Get Stoned’ is out March 19th
